Kasabian’s latest album Velociraptor! was released in September to rave reviews, with Rolling Stone describing it as their greatest album yet.  A few weeks ago, the band returned to Leicester to perform a one off homecoming gig as part of Radio 1’s Student Tour. This was to be their first gig in their hometown for over two years, and the demand was clear from the unprecedented overnight queues for tickets to this special show.

I managed to catch up with Kasabian’s lead singer Tom Meighan backstage before the show. We discussed influences for the new album, why the Band will never play with Noel Gallagher and Tom’s rebellious past.
